Extending the Capability of Small Drones
Drones are improving at a phenomenal rate. What used to only be possible with manned aircraft or very large UAVs is now achievable using small, low cost, and rapidly deployable quadcopters. At K2D, we are working to futher extend the capability of small drones through custom payload and hardware builds. We believe that small, fast, and highly deployable is the future and flying these rigs now let's us help develop the next wave of advancements improving safety and data access for Alaskans.
Currently we are working on a number of prototypes including low-cost LiDAR, remote sampling systems, and weatherproofing our small drones to operate year round in Alaska's tough climate.
Alaska is a big, wild, rugged place and the opportunity for drones with custom payloads to make a positive impact is large. If you have a need that an aerial platform can address, contact us to find out how we can help make it a reality.
Data is the Answer
K2D is also focused on helping our clients make intelligent data driven decisions. Founded by two mechanical engineers, K2D is more than a simple aerial operator; we can process the data we gather and make recommendations ours client to move forward on our findings.
