Cover More Ground
Aerial surveying is often times faster and more efficient than ground based surveying in remote regions or where the terrain is hazardous or otherwise hard to access. However, aerial surveying from a manned airplane is very expensive. Our drones can perform the same surveys faster and more economically, often with better resolution and accuracy.
UAVs, or drones, have a number of advantages over manned aircraft for orthoimagery creation:
- Drones are a fraction of the cost to operate compared to manned aircraft, lowering your costs and allowing for high quality orthoimagery can to be added to more projects.
- Drones can fly lower and slower than manned aircraft, improving the resolution of the imagery generated.
- Our drones are multirotor, meaning they can hover and loiter over areas for repeated image capture.
- Since our team is ground based, we can perform the ground-truthing at the same time that we fly, ensuring that the monuments are captured and cataloged before we ever leave the site.
The orthoimages can be exported to Google Earth or other GIS software for evaluation and measurements. They are also sent to you as a composite TIFF image file which can be opened on any computer. Below is an example orthoimage snip, at low resolution:
3D Model Generation
The 3D model from our flight of a gravel pit is embedded below. You can flip through the included annotations or explore the model on your own. Note the high resolution and features captured - all under 45 minutes of flight time; compared to the roughly 5 hours of manual work that was required before.

How Our Tech Can Help:
Measure Change Over Time
Accurately measure your mineral use & stockpile change over time. Know exactly where your material is with sub-half-meter resolutions.
Create As Built Drawings
Verify locations of utility lines, out-buildings, and other features using our aerial mapping and imaging.
Remote Work Planning
Aerial maps of future or current remote work sites provide valuable data for planning construction and right of ways, all from a bird's-eye-view.
Orthoimagery Fast and Affordable
Decide how best to deploy your remote equipment from the comfort of your office by seeing your job site in 3D.
More than Just a picture
Orthoimages are pictures you can pan, zoom, and twist to see exactly the features you want to see anytime. Our drones can fly low and hover giving you high resolution.
